Memorial bench for CSD attack in Berlin damaged again

A rainbow-colored bench erected to commemorate the attack on Christopher Street Day (CSD) in Berlin has been damaged again. The Berlin police announced that emergency services had discovered the damage to the bench in the Tiergarten. Unidentified people dismantled one of the bench's wooden slats and damaged two others. The state security took over the investigation.

On July 25, a woman was killed in an Islamist attack on the Berlin CSD. In August, the Mitte district office had a rainbow bench set up at the site of the attack, which was so badly damaged by unknown persons at the beginning of September that it had to be dismantled. The new bench, now damaged, was only installed in mid-September.
