Son-in-law kills wife, shoots mother-in-law and tries to commit suicide in Itaguaçu, ES

The 58-year-old woman shot by her son-in-law in the Northwest of Espírito Santo went to pick up her grandson to celebrate her birthday when the crime happened, on Wednesday night (23). Her daughter, the suspect's wife, was also shot in the head and died inside the car.

The perpetrator of the crime is Carlos Roberto Lickteneld, 36 years old. He was the husband of Fabrícia Hell, 33 years old. According to family members, their relationship had been going on for more than 10 years, but the couple had been separated for about a month. Since then, the woman had been living with her mother.

The 58-year-old woman was rescued alive and admitted to Silvio Avidos hospital, in Colatina. Until the last update of this report, no details about her health status had been released.

The crime

Carlos Roberto killed his wife, shot his mother-in-law and then shot himself in Itaguaçu, in the northwest of Espírito Santo, on Wednesday night (23). The three were hit in the head and rescued by the Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu).

According to the Military Police, the woman was identified as Fabrícia Hell, 33 years old, who succumbed to her injuries and died during medical care. The suspect and her 58-year-old mother were taken to Silvio Avidos Hospital, in Colatina.

After the crime, the man even sent a message to the couple's eldest daughter, aged 15, telling her that he killed his wife.

Carlos also called his cousin, who went to the house and found him trying to hurt himself with a pocket knife. The family member tried to talk and stop him, but the man threw his cell phone into a lake and shot himself in the head.

The 5-year-old boy was in the house and witnessed the entire incident. He was removed from the scene by his cousin soon after. At the residence, the police collected a .38 caliber Taurus revolver, six rounds of ammunition (three intact and three used) and a pocket knife.

According to the Civil Police, Carlos Roberto was charged with feminicide and attempted qualified homicide. He will be sent to the prison system as soon as he is medically discharged.

Fabrícia's body was sent to the Regional Legal Medicine Section (SML), in Colatina, to be autopsied and released to family members.

Loving mother of two

Fabrícia was the mother of two children, aged 5 and 15. The middle child, she was considered loving and shy and "will be missed", according to her older sister, Patrícia Hell.

The family stated that they never knew of any previous aggressive situation involving Carlos Roberto.
