Rescue teams have been making intense efforts for days to reach the little boy trapped in the 80-meter narrow and deep well.

Speaking to the local media, Civil Defense Administration Deputy Media Director Nesim Bernavi stated that the work was difficult and was carried out with sensitivity because the child was found in a very deep and narrow area.

Noting that special machines were used to reach the place where the child was found, Bernavi said that another vertical well was opened parallel to the well where Eyüb was found, and a passage would be dug horizontally from there to the area where the child was found.

Bernavi stated that the vertical well was opened and a rescue worker descended into it, but some difficulties were encountered in opening the passage and the work was continuing.

He stated that the rocky structure of the soil made the work of the rescue teams difficult, and after the drilling process was completed, it was understood that the well where Eyüb was found was not supported by a pipe or support and was not flat, which made it difficult to determine the exact location of the child.

Rescue efforts continue in difficult conditions

According to the statement of the Civil Defense Administration, the diameter of the well does not exceed 40 centimeters and is not large enough for a person to enter, making it difficult to reach the child directly.

The softness of the soil, the risk of collapse and the hard rock layers in some parts also make rescue efforts difficult.

The teams carry out their work in a controlled manner to prevent possible collapses while moving through the rock layers and to ensure the safety of both the child and the rescue workers.

There is no definitive information yet regarding Eyüb's health condition.

Speaking to the local press, Eyüb's father, Muhammed Fayid, stated that his son was playing in front of the house on September 2 and asked his brother to look after him.

Fayid stated that the mouth of the empty well was covered with a wooden plate that wore out over time, and that Job fell into the well when the plate broke.
