Governor Lucas Ribeiro leads electoral poll in Paraíba with 49% of voting intentions

Governor Lucas Ribeiro (PP) continues to lead the electoral race in Paraíba according to the Quaest survey released on Tuesday night (22). With 49% of voting intentions in the first round, he is followed by senator Efraim Filho (PL), with 16% and by the former mayor of João Pessoa Cícero Lucena (MDB), with 15%.

Pedro Coutinho (DC) registered 1% in the dispute for the Government of Paraíba, while Camilo Duarte (PCO) and Yuri Ezequiel did not score. White, null and voters who say they will not vote make up 7%, while undecided voters make up 12%.

In the institute's previous survey, released on August 25, Lucas Ribeiro had 38% of voting intentions, followed by Cícero Lucena, with 19%, and Efraim Filho, with 18%.

In the second round simulation between Lucas Ribeiro and Cícero Lucena, the former now registers 54% of voting intentions, compared to 25% for his opponent. In August, it had 48%, against 29% for Lucena.

Between Lucas Ribeiro and Efraim Filho, the result is 56% for the current governor, against 24% for the senator. In the previous month, the result was 47% against 33% for the head of the Executive.

In the scenario without Ribeiro, Lucena would beat Efraim Filho, by 37% to 32%. He also appeared ahead in August, with an advantage of 39% to 32%.

Quaest interviewed 804 people aged 16 or over in home interviews between Friday (18) and this Monday (21). The maximum expected margin of error is plus or minus three percentage points, with a 95% confidence level.
