Until 6 September, on the occasion of the Italian Formula 1 Grand Prix, installations, activities for families and initiatives dedicated to Michael Schumacher and the Ferrari F2004 will be held between Piazza Sempione, the Monza racetrack and the center of the Brianza city.
The 2026 Italian Grand Prix does not stop at the Monza circuit. On the occasion of the Formula 1 weekend, from 3 to 6 September, some Lego-related initiatives bring installations, family activities and events dedicated to Formula 1 between Milan and Monza. The events are concentrated in three places: Piazza Sempione in Milan, the Fan Zone of the Autodromo Nazionale Monza and the Palazzo dell'Arengario in the center of Monza.
In Milan an installation dedicated to Schumacher
In Piazza Sempione in Milan, until Sunday 6 September, three large brick-shaped structures host an evening video and light show dedicated to the Ferrari F2004 and Michael Schumacher. The initiative is linked to the 30th anniversary of the German driver's arrival in the Scuderia Ferrari HP and takes place under the patronage of the Municipality of Milan.
The show is scheduled every evening from 7pm to 10pm, with repeats every 30 minutes. The opening of the initiative was held on Thursday 3 September with an evening hosted by Linus, artistic director of Radio Deejay, and Carlo Vanzini, journalist and voice of Sky Sport F1.
A mosaic of almost 85 thousand bricks
Also in Piazza Sempione, an area has been set up in which visitors can create tiles that will make up a mosaic dedicated to the Ferrari F2004 and Schumacher. The project was created by Riccardo Zangelmi, the only Lego Certified Professional in Italy.
The work, once completed, will measure 3 by 1.80 meters and will be made up of almost 85 thousand bricks in 22 colours. The area is open on 3 and 4 September from 4pm to 7pm and on 5 and 6 September from 10am to 7pm. Access is free.
The activities in the Monza Fan Zone
Inside the Autodromo Nazionale Monza, in the Fan Zone, there is "The Home of LEGO F1", a space dedicated to the relationship between the brand and the Formula 1 championship. Among the planned activities there is a workshop that allows you to see up close the front wing and steering wheel of one of the 1:1 scale Lego F1 Big Builds cars used in the Drivers' Parade of the 2025 Miami Grand Prix.
The route also includes two large helmets that visitors can enter and a digital activity to create and customize an F1 Team Minifigure, which can then be printed onto a Team Pass. In the same area there is a point of sale with Lego products dedicated to Formula 1.
At the Arengario the helmets of Leclerc and Hamilton
The initiatives continue in the center of Monza, at the Palazzo dell'Arengario in Piazza Roma, as part of the Monza FuoriGP. There are two areas: one with game tables, bricks and spaces for Formula 1 themed photographs, designed for children and families; the other dedicated to the display of the LEGO Editions Helmet of Charles Leclerc Scuderia Ferrari HP and LEGO Editions Helmet of Lewis Hamilton Scuderia Ferrari HP sets. Access is free: from 4 to 6 September from 10am to 8pm. During the weekend there will also be activities dedicated to members of Lego Insiders, the brand's loyalty programme.
