Man shot during attempted robbery in Franca

The victim, who was with his wife, was approached when he tried to get into the car, parked on Avenida Adhemar de Barros. (see video above)

In the images, it is possible to see the moment when the thieves arrived on a motorcycle, around 10:40 pm, and stopped the vehicle and observed movement on the road.

The couple appeared shortly afterwards and approached the car to leave the place. At this moment, one of the criminals got off the motorcycle and ran towards the driver, demanding that he hand over the chain he was using. The man reacted and went after the thief.

The other criminal, who was on the motorcycle, followed the two, but ended up being knocked down by the victim, who got into a physical fight with him. The first robber, who was armed, shot the man twice and the two suspects fled the scene.

The victim, whose name was not released, was shot twice in the left leg. She was rescued by the Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu), taken to the Álvaro Azzuz Emergency Room and was discharged after medical care.

The case was registered at the Franca Sectional Police Station. The duo had not been identified or located until the last update of this report.
