HSV lands the transfer double blow. Shortly after the signing of new full-back Zakaria El Ouahdi (see below), the club's desired transfer has now been completed. Hamburg is bringing back Portuguese Fabio Vieira from Arsenal and giving the 26-year-old playmaker a long-term contract. As with El Ouahdi, the transfer fee should be around nine million euros.
Vieira played on loan for HSV last season and scored seven goals in 29 Bundesliga games. “This is anything but a given and a strong sign of our development,” said Kathleen Krüger, Sports Director, about Viera’s commitment.
Hamburger SV has signed Moroccan international Zakaria El Ouahdi. The 24-year-old right full-back comes from Belgian first division club KRC Genk. According to “transfermarkt.de”, it will cost eight million euros, and bonus payments of three million euros could be added.
“With Zaka, we are signing a very dynamic and attack-oriented full-back whose energy and courageous style of play fits our game idea perfectly,” said HSV sports director Claus Costa about El Ouahdi, who also took part in the World Cup in the USA, Mexico and Canada for Morocco in the summer.
Christian Gomis from newly promoted Schalke 04 is moving to CD Tenerife in the Spanish second division. The loan is for one year and includes a purchase option for an unknown amount. The 26-year-old center forward came from FC Winterthur in Switzerland last summer. The Senegalese scored three goals in 19 second division games for Schalke.
After Julian Brandt and Marc-André ter Stegen, Thilo Kehrer could become the third German to join Ajax Amsterdam today. The 29-year-old defender, currently under contract with AS Monaco, is said to be about to go on loan with the Dutch.
That's a good deal: Ilyas Ansah (21) is leaving Union Berlin after just one year. The striker, who came to Köpenick from the then second division club SC Paderborn in the summer of 2025 for around four million euros, is moving to Premier League promoted team Hull City. Union manager Horst Heldt spoke openly about a “very attractive” offer.
You can probably say that. Ansah's only Union season was mediocre at best. The German U-21 international had scored five goals in 32 league games, four of them in the first games of the season. Now it is the Berliners' record sale.
RB Leipzig brings Marc Guiu from Chelsea as their seventh signing of the summer. The 20-year-old Spaniard signed a contract until 2031. The Bundesliga club is expected to pay a transfer fee of 15 million euros, but Chelsea would be involved in a resale. The center forward moved from FC Barcelona to London in 2024, where he only played 29 competitive games (eight goals) in two years.
Jamie Leweling is apparently staying at VfB Stuttgart. The Bundesliga club had a purchase offer from AS Roma for 35 million euros, and the German international was in the Italian capital for talks on Monday. However, he apparently decided against a change, as several media outlets unanimously report.
Conrad Harder is on loan from RB Leipzig to Racing Strasbourg for one year. The 21-year-old center forward from Denmark hasn't really been able to assert himself in Saxony so far and didn't make it into the starting line-up under new coach Demichelis despite Romulo's absence. Last year he was signed by Sporting Lisbon as an RB royal transfer for around 24 million euros.
According to information from “Bild”, Werder Bremen has reached an agreement with the Belgian club RSC Anderlecht about a loan deal including a purchase option for Moussa Ndiaye. The 24-year-old left-back from Senegal is now traveling to Bremen for a medical check. Werder had already signed a defensive player, Leverkusen's Arthur (23), on Monday.
