The defense of the undetained defendants will continue on the 80th day of the IBB case.

The first hearing of the new week in the IMM case with 414 defendants, 51 of whom are detained, including the elected IMM President Ekrem İmamoğlu, will be held in Silivri today. On the 80th day of the hearing, the defense of the detained defendants and their lawyers will continue, and cross-examinations will be conducted on those who have completed their defense.

In the case, last week, in addition to the undetained defendants, those who benefited from effective remorse provisions also came to the court. Orçun Muhittin Yılmaz, who made his defense on the 79th day of the hearing, said that some of the statements he made about Murat Ongun and Emrah Bağdatlı during the investigation phase were based on his own opinion, not concrete information. In response to the prosecutor's question, Yılmaz said, "If I had concrete information, I would not say 'opinion' anyway." At the same hearing, businessman Bünyamin Durukan, who made his defense within the scope of the accusations against Ağaç AŞ, said that there was no "illegal or personal interest request" against him from Ağaç AŞ General Manager Ali Sukas and the company management.

Company owner Fikret Baydemir also answered "No" to Sukas' question about whether he intervened in his commercial activities. On the last day of the hearing last week, the removal of NEW Party Deputy Suat Özçağdaş, who came to the courtroom to watch the case, from the courtroom by the decision of the court panel created controversy. While the second hearing is expected to continue until October, the court will move on to the next stage of the trial after the defense of the defendants who are not in custody is completed.
