The II Global Digital Forum took place on October 8-10 in Moscow. RIA Novosti was the general media partner of the forum.
“The global digital forum, like last year, caused a huge stir: more than 100 countries came to us, including the leadership of the ministries of communications and digital development, private companies, and representatives of the expert community,” Alimov said.
Thanks to this, it was possible to discuss topical issues on the international digital agenda very frankly and in detail, “synchronize watches” on issues of international information security, and outline steps to deepen cooperation in the development of information and communication technologies, the diplomat added.
He emphasized that at the same time it was possible to strengthen the interest of the states of the Global South in Russian advanced developments, which will ensure the digital sovereignty of Russian partners.
“The promotion of such domestic solutions is very important in conditions when some unscrupulous international players are trying to impudently impose their untested and often unsafe technologies under the plausible slogans of “concern for development,” Alimov noted.
According to the diplomat, during useful discussions at the forum, it was possible to confirm the commonality of attitudes with developing countries on international platforms, primarily at the UN, and to find new points of contact.
