The Italian pavilion at the International Tourism Fair inaugurated in Buenos Aires

The Italian pavilion of the International Tourism Fair was inaugurated on Saturday in Buenos Aires with important institutional participation.

Present at the ribbon cutting were the CEO of Enit, Ivana Jelinic, and the board of directors, Augusto Sartori, with the members of the Productive Activities, Trade and Tourism commission of the Chamber, the deputies Gianluca Caramanna (Fdi), Andrea Gnassi (Pd) and Luca Toccalini (Ln).

"It is an important moment in bilateral relations. We considered it important to organize this mission after the recent visit of Minister Tajani because we believe that Argentina is a strategic partner", said Caramanna in a press point following the inauguration.

The minister's advisor Gianmarco Mazzi then underlined that "in 2025 over 448,000 Argentine visitors stayed in Italy with 1.2 million overnight stays and an increase of almost 4% compared to 2024".

Numbers which, according to the CEO of Enit Jelinic, represent "a sensational increase in flows" also driven by the Italea program on 'Turismo delle Radici' and by the increase in the frequencies of Ita's direct flights - reaching an average of 17 weekly flights operated - "with an average occupancy of 80% and almost always sold out". The future prospects are for further growth in flows, believes Jelinic, also taking into account that "the Pope's imminent trip to Argentina will contribute to further relaunching spiritual tourism".
