The National Institute of Meteorology (Inmet) issued a red warning for a heat wave that is expected to hit Alto Tietê and the entire state of São Paulo. The alert starts this Saturday (26th) and is valid until 6pm on Wednesday (30th).
This is the first heat wave expected for spring, a season that began last Tuesday (22). The expectation is that in the region's ten cities the weather will alternate between above-average temperatures and storms over the next few months.
According to the institute, the warning is of great danger, and is at the highest level on the scale. See:

According to Inmet, extreme heat brings several health risks. During these periods, it is common to feel the body slower, tired and even dizzy.
The region already has forecast temperatures slightly above average for the season, and phenomena of this magnitude could make forecasts more extreme with El Niño.
According to Climatempo forecasts, maximum temperatures could reach 33°C in cities such as Suzano, Poá and Ferraz de Vasconcelos this Tuesday (29), and 31°C in Mogi das Cruzes, Arujá and Itaquaquecetuba on Monday (28).
➡️ UNDERSTAND: A heat wave is a meteorological phenomenon that happens when a certain region records temperatures well above average for a sequence of days.
In general, meteorologists establish that, for the phenomenon to occur, temperatures need to be at least 5ºC above average for a period of five days or more.
Inmet defines a heat wave when there is an increase of 5ºC in temperature in relation to the monthly average, regardless of the number of days it lasts.
In the cities of Alto Tietê, temperatures are expected to rise considerably with the alert. However, according to Climatempo meteorologists, the region is expected to suffer from the heat until Tuesday.

☀️Weather: Firm sunny day and rapid thermal rise, with no significant rain forecast. Rapid warming up in the afternoon in Itaquaquecetuba, Arujá and Poá. Santa Isabel and Guararema dawn under humid fog in the valleys.

🌡️ Temperatures: Minimum 17°C | Maximum 30°C
☀️Weather: Sultry and hot day. The sun predominates in the morning, but humidity brings instability at the end of the day. Heat should be notable in Mogi das Cruzes and Suzano (with maximum temperatures reaching 30°C), favoring isolated rain showers with thunderstorms in the late afternoon.
Monday (28)
🌡️ Temperatures: Minimum 17°C | Maximum 31°C
☀️Weather: Peak heat in the region with strong heat. Heavy clouds form at the end of the day. Mogi das Cruzes, Arujá and Itaquaquecetuba record the hottest day of the period (over 31°C), with a risk of thunderstorms and gusts of wind at night.
Tuesday (29)
🌡️ Temperatures: Minimum 17°C | Maximum 33°C
☀️Weather: Strong sun and intense heat. Warning of dry air and low relative humidity in the afternoon in Suzano, Poá and Ferraz de Vasconcelos (indexes falling to around 40-44%); the turn of the sea winds at the end of the night increases the cloudiness in Salesópolis and Biritiba Mirim.

☁️ Weather: Change in wind circulation brings milder and moister air from the ocean. Temperatures are expected to drop in all 10 cities in Alto Tietê, with overcast skies and the possibility of drizzle and light drizzle throughout the day.
