Iraq and Kuwait announced that they formed a joint working group for issues awaiting solution.

In the joint statement published by Iraq and Kuwait, it was stated that Iraqi Prime Minister Ali Falih al-Zaydi and Kuwaiti Crown Prince Sabah Khalid al-Hamad al-Sabah met in New York, USA, on the margins of the 81st General Assembly of the United Nations (UN).

In the statement, it was stated that an agreement was reached between the two countries in line with the determination to address the pending issues in the spirit of brotherhood, good neighborliness and common interest.

In the statement, it was noted that a joint working group will be formed to review the issues awaiting solution between Iraq and Kuwait and to determine a road map for them, and it was stated that the joint working group will present their joint recommendations to the leadership of both countries within 30 days at the latest.
