Minister Institution: The first phase of TOKİ Social Housing for Rent Project has been completed

Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Murat Kurum, in his statement on his virtual media account, said, "We have completed the first phase of our Social Housing Project for Rent, which we implemented with TOKİ. We have collected the applications, now the review process begins. We will determine the owners of 1071 houses by lot in October among our citizens who meet the conditions, and we will deliver our first keys. Our homes are waiting for the people of Istanbul."

According to the statement made by the Ministry; The application process, which started on September 14, for the social housing rentals, which will be hosted by the Mass Housing Administration and will be implemented for the first time in Istanbul, was completed as of yesterday. After the examination, a draw will be held for citizens who are determined to meet the conditions and whose applications are deemed valid, and housing deliveries will begin in October.

RENTS WILL START FROM 10 THOUSAND TL

From the rental social housing system implemented within the scope of the 500 thousand Social Housing Project, Turkish citizens whose household income in Istanbul is below 100 thousand TL, who do not have a house on the title deed, who are over 18 years old and who are married. citizens will be able to benefit. There will also be a requirement to reside in Istanbul uninterruptedly for at least 1 year. The houses to be rented, with amounts starting from 10 thousand TL, will be rented according to groups as 1 + 1, 2 + 2, 3 + 1 and 4 + 1. Young married families will be allocated 1+1 or 2+1 housing, and families with two or more children will be allocated 2+1, 3+1 or 4+1 housing.

A total of 1071 houses will be rented in the first stage, 360 in Başakşehir, Gaziosmanpaşa, Beyoğlu and Güngören districts in the first group, 330 in Maltepe, Tuzla and Kartal districts in the second group, 291 in Ataşehir, Sancaktepe, Ümraniye and Üsküdar districts in the third group, and 90 in Arnavutköy in the fourth group. In this campaign, no application fee was charged from citizens. Applications were completed via e-Government, from the 'Residence/Workplace Application' menu in TOKİ services.
