Iranian Army General Khatami said that passages through the Strait of Hormuz are very limited.

According to Mehr News Agency, Khatami made a statement regarding ship passages in the Strait of Hormuz in a program he attended in the capital Tehran.

Hatami emphasized that the Strait of Hormuz is under control from the west by the Revolutionary Guard Army Navy and from the east and the Oman Sea by the Iranian Army Navy, and noted that the statements that the strait is open do not reflect the truth.

Stating that they have full control in the Bosphorus, Hatami said, "No enemy ship has dared to enter the Oman Sea so far. All 3 ships that came were the target of successive attacks." he said.

Hatami stated that they stood firm and that passages in the Strait of Hormuz were very limited, adding that many ships trying to cross the Strait without coordinating with Iran either hit mines or were targeted.
