IRGC seizes US underwater drone in Strait of Hormuz

According to the IRGC, the seized object was identified as the American REMUS 600 underwater drone. The Iranian formation assured that its specialists are working to obtain data stored in the device.

It was not stated when exactly the drone was seized or under what circumstances it was found.

The IRGC Navy also stated that the Strait of Hormuz remains closed. Iranian forces are to take action against attempts to use what they call "unauthorized routes."

The strait remains a place of tension

The agreement concluded in June between Washington and Tehran has failed due to the resumption of military operations and unresolved disputes.
