Severe Storm and Heavy Rain Had a Negative Effect on Life in Spain

Severe storms and heavy rains affecting the eastern and northwestern parts of Spain negatively affected daily life in many parts of the country. More than 100 flights were canceled due to the storm at El Prat Airport in Barcelona, ​​the capital of the autonomous region of Catalonia.

Metro stations in the city were also flooded, and some lines were out of service.

YELLOW ALERT ISSUED

Authorities stated, "Rains may cause sudden increases in the water levels of rivers and streams in the Alt Penedes region and neighboring municipalities. Do not approach streams, valleys or low-lying areas and do not pass through these areas."
