Israeli army launches airstrikes despite ceasefire in southern Lebanon

According to the news of Lebanon's official agency NNA, Israeli army warplanes carried out attacks on the town of Mansouri in the city of Sur in the south of the country.

While various houses in the town were targeted from the air during the attacks, some houses were destroyed with explosives.

While the Israeli army was using barrels containing various explosive materials, loud explosions were heard in the area.

Artillery attacks were also carried out in Jebel Amil, Vadi es-Saluki and Hujayr regions in Nabatiye.

On the other hand, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) belonging to the Israeli army flew at low altitude over the Dahiye region of the capital Beirut.

An 18-year-old woman whose house was bombed in the attack lost her life and 5 people were injured.

Former MP's house was completely demolished

On the other hand, the house of former Lebanese MP Habib Sadik, who passed away in the town of El-Kefur, was completely destroyed in the air attack.

It was reported that the house was used as a culture and arts center, housed a private library belonging to the MP, and was a meeting place for art lovers.

It was also stated that an air attack was carried out on a recreation area in Nabatiye, and the area containing seating areas, sports areas, parks and fields was severely damaged.

Israeli attacks in Lebanon

The Israeli army launched intense air attacks on Lebanon on March 2 and occupied many towns in the south of the country.

The Lebanese government announced that the number of people displaced in the country during this period exceeded 1 million.

The ceasefire between Lebanon and Israel, which came into force on April 17, was later extended several times. However, the Israeli army continues its attacks against the country for various reasons despite the ceasefire.
