Serious accusations from Israeli opposition leaders to Netanyahu: UAE concealed its warning

Gadi Eisenkot, Netanyahu's biggest rival in the elections and the leader of the Yashar Party, who seems to be ahead in the polls, targeted the Israeli Prime Minister in his statement on his social media platform account.

Eisenkot criticized the Israeli Prime Minister, stating that "Netanyahu blindly dragged Israel into disaster, but despite all the warnings, he took refuge in the lie that he was not warned to avoid responsibility."

Eisenkot evaluated that Netanyahu "ignored all of them despite receiving dozens of warnings about October 7" and said, "As soon as the new government is formed, we will establish a state investigation commission that will investigate the previous 10 years, clarify what Netanyahu knew and did not know, reach the truth and prevent the next disaster." he said.

Democratic Party leader Yair Golan also stated in his statement that Netanyahu should be in prison for his crimes against Israel and said, "They did not wake me up, their story was over. He knew, he was warned."

Noting that research shows that Netanyahu deliberately concealed the warning he received from UAE President Bin Zayed from the Israeli domestic intelligence agency Shin-Bet (Shabak) and the army, Golan commented that Netanyahu listened to the extremists, not the warnings, for his political survival.

Former Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett also said that the allegations that the UAE warned Netanyahu about the October 7 attacks were true and said, "Netanyahu bears personal and direct responsibility for the failure that led to the deaths of thousands of Israelis during his rule."

Noting that "Netanyahu did not go to the field and did not warn the security units despite the warnings," Bennet stated that this negligence requires punishment and that is why Netanyahu did his best to prevent the establishment of a state investigation commission that would reveal the truth.

In the research report of Israel's Haaretz newspaper, based on numerous sources and senior officials, it was reported that the UAE leader had a 45-minute phone call with Netanyahu at the end of September 2023.

In the news, which directly referred to Mohammed bin Zayed's advisor and stated that three senior foreign officials were informed about the phone call, it was claimed that although the UAE leader warned the Israeli Prime Minister that former Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar was planning a large-scale attack on Israel in the Gaza Strip, Netanyahu did not convey this information to the security officials and did not take any precautions.

The Israeli Prime Minister's Office denied the news and denied that Netanyahu met with Mohammed bin Zayed.
