New details in the double murder in Istanbul: He executed his friend and disguised himself as a garbage collector

In the incident that took place at the residence in Büyükçekmece on October 21, 2026, Yasin Binarci (26) was shot to death with a gun and Mehmet E.Y. (20) was injured. While the police started an investigation on the issue after the incident, the body of Mehmet Emin Yüksel (22), who allegedly committed the murder, was found in an abandoned car in Bağcılar 5 hours later. During the inspection of the apartment in the residence, 3 guns, many bullets and 2 kilograms of drugs were seized.

8 SUSPECTS WERE TAKEN INTO CUSTODY

In the investigation initiated by the police teams affiliated with the Homicide Bureau, the 3 people who carried out the incident were detained while trying to escape from Edirne to Greece and brought to Istanbul. The number of detentions increased to 8 with 5 people detained in Istanbul regarding the incident.

THEY LOCKED THE DOORS TO ESCAPE

New details about the incident also emerged in the statements of the suspects questioned at the Public Order Branch Directorate. According to the police investigation, Yasin Binarci and Mehmet I. (20), among the 5 people staying in the same house, were attacked by their friend Mehmet Emin Yüksel. Yasin Binarci lost his life as a result of the attack; Mehmet I. was injured. K.K., who was in another room of the same house during the attack. and Y.G. They locked the doors and called their friend S.C.B. on the phone for help. S.C.B came to the apartment in the residence and entered by breaking the door with a sledgehammer. According to the statements of the suspects, S.C.B, K.K., Y.G. and fled the scene, taking Mehmet Emin Yüksel, who committed the murder, with them.

THE MOMENTS WHEN THEY KILLED THEIR FRIENDS AND ESCAPEED AWAY ON CAMERA

Mehmet Emin Yüksel, who fell under the influence of drugs on the road, was shot and killed by the people in the car. The suspects abandoned the car with the body in Bağcılar and fled the scene on foot. In the investigation carried out by the Homicide Bureau teams regarding the incident, security camera footage of the moments when the suspects left the car with the body inside was obtained. The footage shows the suspects fleeing the scene on foot after leaving the car.

HE DISGUISED HIMSELF AS A GARBAGE COLLECTOR AND ESCAPED

A detail in the images did not escape the attention of the police teams. It was determined that one of the suspects, S.C.B., convinced a person collecting garbage with a rickshaw during the escape, changed his clothes and disguised himself as a garbage collector. Homicide Bureau teams traced the footage and determined that the suspects first went to Tekirdağ and then to Edirne with a pirate taxi they found on virtual media applications. It was learned that 3 suspects who tried to escape to Greece by contacting human traffickers were caught.

THEY ACCUSED EACH OTHER IN THEIR STATEMENTS

In their statements to the police, it was stated that the suspects, who blamed each other for the murder, had previous criminal records with the police. 5 of the suspects were released on condition of judicial control by the court to which they were referred. The three suspects who carried out the incident were referred to the courthouse for the crime of "intentional murder".
