Jimmie Åkesson about SD's strategy meeting after the election results

Sweden Democrats party leader Jimmie Åkesson arrived at the Riksdag at 1pm on Tuesday, without speaking to reporters on site. When he came out of the building about four and a half hours later, around 5:30 p.m., together with Sweden Democrats' group leader Linda Lindberg, among others, he was able to say that the party had gathered to discuss the election results.

- We had a very constructive strategy meeting today about how we should approach the various parliamentary situations that may arise now, said Jimmie Åkesson and added:

- There is not much more to say than that, but we will return when the election results are clear.

Among other things, Åkesson was asked if the SD is willing to give up their promised ministerial posts in order to get the Center Party over to the Tidö side.

- Now we await the election results and then we'll see what happens when we're done.

The Sweden Democrats are the party that backed the most in the election. The decline is minus three percent, according to the Electoral Authority's preliminary vote count.

TV4 Nyheterna states that one of those who attended the meeting was Gustav Gellerbrant, head of SD's coordination office.

Earlier this month, Gellerbrant announced that he would be taking immediate parental leave, after Expo revealed that his partner had been spreading pro-Russian propaganda. The partner works as a civil servant at the Sweden Democrats' Riksdag office.

Gellerbrant has written in a post on social media that the information is "a long series of claims and detached information". According to him, it aims to "make her person suspicious based on her origin in Russia". He also wrote that several of the posts are old, and that she also directed criticism at Russia.

"She describes February 24, 2022 on her social media as the worst day of her life," Gellerbrant wrote in the post.

After the disclosure was published, Jimmie Åkesson said that SD needed to go through parts of the review.

- There is information that is serious, said Åkesson to DN.

Gustav Gellerbrant was also at the Sweden Democrats' election vigil last Sunday.
