19-year-old man is shot dead and another man is injured in Jacareí

According to the investigation, military police were called after reports of gunshots. During the teams' movement, there was new information that a man was lying at the scene.

When they arrived, the police found Rafael Alex Basílio da Silva, aged 19, already dead. He had gunshot wounds to the chest.

The site was isolated for the work of the Scientific Police. While responding to the incident, police received information that a second man had been hit by gunfire.

The injured man, aged 37, was rescued and taken to the Santa Casa de Misericórdia de Jacareí. According to police, he had a wound in the chin area, with a projectile lodged in the chest. The man underwent surgery and remained in intensive care.

A family member of the young man who died was at the scene of the crime and reported to the police that the young man had recently commented on a disagreement with another young man.

The Civil Police investigates the motivation and dynamics of the crime. Until the publication of this report, no suspect had been identified or arrested.
