New TAYFUN Block-2 Delivery to the Land Forces

Inspection and acceptance activities of the new TAYFUN Block-2 missiles for the Land Forces Command have been completed.

A new acceptance process has been completed for TAYFUN Block-2, one of the important elements in the long-range missile capabilities of the Turkish defense industry. The Ministry of National Defense announced that the inspection and acceptance activities of various amounts of TAYFUN Block-2 missiles by the Land Forces Command were completed within the week.

The statement was made at the Ministry of Defense Weekly Press Information Meeting held at TCG Anadolu, off the coast of Aksaz, within the scope of the Distinguished Observer Day of Exercise Denizkurdu-I/2026. The Ministry stated that efforts are continuing to improve the capabilities of the Turkish Armed Forces with domestic and national defense industry products.

New acceptance for TAYFUN Block-2

TAYFUN Block-2 entered the Turkish Armed Forces inventory for the first time in May 2026. Ministry of National Defense announced on May 20 that the inspection and acceptance activities of various TAYFUN Block-2 missiles were completed by the Land Forces Command.

Following this, a new acceptance process was carried out in June. In the statement on June 25, it was announced that the inspection and acceptance activities of various TAYFUN Block-2 missiles for the Land Forces had been completed.

The last statement on September 24 shows that deliveries of the missile to the inventory continue. However, it was not disclosed how many missiles were accepted in the last batch by the Ministry of National Defense.

Delivery process continues in TAYFUN family

Developed by ROKETSAN, the TAYFUN family is among Turkey's ballistic missile capabilities. At the meeting held by the Ministry of National Defense at ROKETSAN's Lalahan campus in July 2026, TAYFUN was shown among the ballistic missile systems developed by Turkey.

Following the first inventory entry of TAYFUN Block-2, new acceptance activities were carried out on different dates, revealing that the procurement process of the system for the Land Forces continues gradually.

All details of the current Block-2 configuration regarding the missile's range, warhead, guidance system and other technical features have not been officially disclosed. For this reason, different range and performance claims in the public should be evaluated separately from official data.

Ammunition and spare parts delivery from MKE

According to the information provided by the Ministry of National Defense at the same meeting, 35 mm particle ammunition and spare parts were also delivered to defense industry stakeholders by the Machinery and Chemical Industry (MKE).

Thus, in the weekly briefing, both the acceptance of the new TAYFUN Block-2 for the long-range missile capability of the Land Forces and the delivery activities for different weapons and ammunition were announced.
