KFC Outlet in Mangaluru Sealed After Customer Complaint, Expired Food Seized in Mysuru

A surprise raid was conducted at KFC in City Centre mall, Mangaluru, after a customer reported receiving foul-smelling chicken. Officials inspected the kitchen, storeroom, and cold storage, sealing the go-down. Samples were collected for testing.

In a related drive in Mysuru, the Food Safety Department seized 9 kg of expired chicken from Rio Meridian Hotel, 68 kg of meat from Grand Mercure Hotel, and 4 kg of mushrooms from Q Star Hotel. Investigations are ongoing.

Officials stated that further action will depend on laboratory findings. The raids underscore increased scrutiny of food safety in the region.
