Kolas Yotaka exposes Gao Jin Sumei’s political line: Chinese funding case and “Chinese history buffet”

Legislator Gao Jin Sumei's "big accountant" Zhang Junjie and public assistant Lin Yijun were suspected of accepting Chinese funds to develop organizations in Taiwan. Zhang absconded and Lin was detained. Kolas Yotaka, the former spokesperson of the Presidential Office, revealed that Gao Jin Sumei's political line is the same as Zhang Junjie's political line - using the indigenous people in Taiwan to fight against the historical perspective from China's standpoint. Gao Jin's selective discussion is like enjoying a "Chinese historical perspective buffet", brainwashing and infiltrating Taiwan's hometown, and attacking Taiwan's legitimacy as a country.

Kolas pointed out that the fact that Gao Jin’s sign was dyed red is directly related to Zhang Junjie, but Gao Jin has been a member of Congress for more than 20 years and must explain which country she “serves.” Zhang Junjie has been brainwashing and infiltrating his hometown for many years through Gao Jin's bloodline and popularity. All kinds of political opinions may sound like promoting the status of the indigenous people, but in fact they are using the kindness and sincerity of the indigenous people to win votes, raising an indigenous member of Congress who has a national identity with China year by year, and undermining the legitimacy of Taiwan as a country.

Kolas recalled that when Gao Jin Sumei entered politics and attracted attention, the protest against the Yasukuni Shrine in 2002 was considered a case. Gao Jin Sumei's slogan was "Return the Spirits of My Ancestors". The logic was that Japan colonized Taiwan and forced the Takasago Volunteer Team to fight, so I won't let you worship. , asking the Yasukuni Shrine to delist Taiwan’s Takasago soldiers, returning my ancestral souls, and I am not Japanese; several demonstrations and protests saw Zhang Junjie at the scene, using a loudspeaker to direct the aboriginal team to get on and off the tour bus, arranging movement routes and the camera’s shooting angles.

Kolas said that when Gao Jin Sumei was interviewed by the media, she admitted that at the time of the protest against the Yasukuni Shrine, she actually knew nothing about who was a leftist, who was a rightist in Japan, and what their respective positions were, and she knew nothing about international politics and Sino-Japanese relations. However, under the guidance of an expert, since her election, a Japanese man beheaded the Atayal people. A large black-and-white photo hangs in her congressional office, an infinite denunciation of the bloody colonial history of a century ago. When she was a reporter many years ago, she entered the office and saw photos of beheaded heads. It was a hatred of Japan and a view of Chinese history that could hardly be seen in today's indigenous tribes, but it was magnified many times in Gao Jin Sumei's office.

Kolas analyzed that if we take a step back and look at the geopolitics at the time, Gaojin went to the Yasukuni Shrine 10 times, sometimes to protest and sometimes to sue the Japanese Prime Minister for unconstitutional visits to the Yasukuni Shrine. Nine of them were during the tenure of Japanese Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi (2001-2006). Quan visited the Yasukuni Shrine as Prime Minister every year during his tenure, which triggered a strong backlash in China, and large-scale anti-Japanese demonstrations were held in many places. Gao Jin Sumei's Yasukuni Shrine action was part of China's overseas demonstrations against Japan, but it was deliberately packaged as respecting the ancestral spirits of Taiwan's aboriginal people.

Kolas questioned that Gao Jin Sumei’s expositions over the years did not criticize the Qing Dynasty’s burning, killing, and plundering of Taiwan’s indigenous tribes. She also rarely criticized the many methods of discrimination and marginalization against the indigenous people after the Nationalist government came to Taiwan. She has never been heard to publicly criticize the “China National Unity Promotion Law” recently passed by the Communist Party of China. Her selective speeches were like enjoying a buffet of Chinese historical views. For more than 20 years, no one found any problems, until Zhang Junjie fled.
