KT는 11일부터 14일까지 네덜란드 암스테르담 'RAI'에서 열리는 미디어 전문 전시회 '국제방송전시회(IBC) 2026'에서 글로벌 팹리스 반도체 기업 '앰로직'과 미디어 단말용 핵심 칩셋의 안정적인 공급체계 구축을 위한 업무협약(MOU)을 체결했다고 13일 밝혔다.

양사는 이번 협약을 통해 KT그룹 미디어 단말에 사용되는 핵심 칩셋의 원활한 공급을 약속하고, 공급망 운영 효율화를 위한 다양한 협력 방안을 지속 발굴한다.

시스템 온 칩(SoC) 솔루션 공급 외에도 KT 미디어 단말의 인공지능(AI) 기능 및 서비스 고도화를 위한 기술 협력도 지속한다.

KT는 글로벌 반도체 공급망 리스크에 대응하고 미디어 서비스의 안정성과 연속성을 높이는 동시에 협력사의 안정적인 사업 운영 기반을 마련하기 위해 이번 협약을 추진했다.

이번 IBC 2026에서는 마르시스, 오성전자, 에너자이 등 미디어 분야 협력사 8곳과 함께 'KT글로벌상생성장관'도 운영해 이들의 글로벌 사업 확대를 지원한다.
