A single platform to have data, operations and security of the entire company fleet under control. This is the main innovation of the offer dedicated to corporate car fleets presented by LoJack Italia, a company that provides telematics solutions for mobility and for the recovery of stolen vehicles.

The new digital ecosystem brings together vehicle telematics data and that collected by LoJack devices, making information and tools for monitoring, event management, operational efficiency and theft protection available to the fleet manager through a single access point.

The objective is to overcome the logic of separate services and systematize data from different sources, offering a complete and updated snapshot of the fleet. Through LoJack Connect, the fleet manager can view in a single dashboard both the data coming from the vehicles' native telematics systems (from on-board diagnostics to the kilometers travelled, from consumption to the battery charge level) and those collected by the LoJack devices, relating to position, driving behavior, geofences and accident management. Added to this monitoring capacity are the new technologies developed by LoJack for the prevention and management of theft risk, thus extending the platform to the safety and protection of vehicles.

"The real evolution is in the ability to systematize data and services that until now could have been managed separately - underlines Massimo Braga, vice president and managing director of LoJack Italia - The fleet manager can have an integrated vision of his fleet, using the information available not only to control the vehicles, but also to identify anomalies, optimize management and intervene promptly in the event of critical events. To this dimension is now added an increasingly advanced security component, based on artificial intelligence and innovative technologies dedicated to protection against theft".

From data management to theft prevention

The platform thus becomes the access point to an offer that integrates monitoring, analysis and security, with an approach increasingly oriented towards prevention. In terms of combating company car theft, LoJack can count on AI Theft Detection, a solution based on artificial intelligence designed to transform fleet security from a predominantly reactive model to a predictive and proactive one. The system analyzes risk signals and intensifies monitoring at night, when the majority of thefts occur. The alerts are generated, in particular, in the presence of attempts to lift the vehicle with the engine off, battery disconnection or movements in areas considered high risk.

Artificial intelligence also helps to validate the signals through the analysis of anomalies and movements recorded in the previous 48 hours, with the aim of reducing false positives and focusing intervention on cases actually at risk. Once a dangerous situation is confirmed, the LoJack operations center comes into action, active 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, which can contact drivers, fleet managers and renters. In the event of theft, the location of the vehicle is initiated promptly, with the support of LoJack experts in the area and in collaboration with the police.
