Marc Casadó leaves on loan to Deportivo de La Coruña with a purchase option of 30 million

Marc Casadó has experienced an intense end to the market. The youth player, who spoke with Hansi Flick in June and August and who had been away from the group for two weeks, left in extremis on loan to Deportivo de La Coruña with a non-obligatory purchase option for 30 million. He leaves in search of minutes. For three positions in the midfield there are seven players: Pedri, Gavi, De Jong, Bernal, Fermín, Olmo and Rodri. He had interest from teams like Leverkusen, coached by Barça-trained Carles Martínez, and he flatly refused to go to Arabia (he is 22 years old and it did not fit into his career), and so he was transferred to Jorge Mendes.

This morning the footballer took a plane to La Coruña. And he acknowledged that leaving Barcelona "is always complicated", although he praised the Galician club's project.

"Depor is setting up a good project. I face it with desire and enthusiasm. Stopping playing for Barça is always complicated, but Dépor has proposed a very attractive project to me. I am excited about what is coming," Josep Tarradellas told the media at the Barcelona-El Prat Airport, practically at the check-in counter where he went with his partner, Noa Brea.

In recent weeks, Casadó has trained separately from his teammates, a measure that the Barça club took to avoid risks with transferable players after striker Roony Bardghji, one of the players that the sports management intended to transfer, suffered a serious injury to his right knee in training.

"I have already spoken with the club and we all have things to improve," Casado responded when asked if he was bothered by the decisions the Barça entity made before his departure.

Casadó travels this Wednesday to A Coruña to join his new club, which has been one of the great entertainers of the market, with an economic investment that is close to 26 million euros to sign top players such as the Spanish goalkeeper Leo Román (Mallorca), the Gabonese forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (Olympique Marseille) and the Uruguayan Giménez (Atlético de Madrid), among others.

Casadó, whose contract ends in June 2028, was not part of coach Hansi Flick's plans and, although the Barça entity prioritized a sale for 30 million, the player opted for the Galician team's project to continue his career in the League without completely separating from Barça. Casadó, who joined Barça in 2016, when he was 13 years old, has a contract until 2028.
