Cargo ship burning off Mykonos could lead to supply crisis in Rhodes and Kos

It was stated that the fire that broke out on the cargo ship named "Blue Carrier 2" sailing off the coast of Mykonos Island in Greece may negatively affect the supply of basic goods on the islands of Rhodes and Kos.

According to the news of Greek State Television ERT, the ship evacuated due to fire was carrying various products to Rhodes and Kos.

MANY PRODUCTS FROM MEDICINE TO FUEL WERE ON THE SHIP

Speaking to ERT, Konstantinos Stilianu, President of the South Aegean Truckers Association, said that there was meat, grocery products, medicine, equipment, clothing, furniture and fuel on the ship, which were planned to be delivered to two islands.

Stilianu stated that the disruption in shipment may affect daily needs on the islands and that if an alternative solution is not found, there may be problems in the supply of some products.
