Netflix Türkiye Launches 'Next Story' Program

Netflix announced its new project "Next Story: Netflix Project Presentation Day" for the creative sector in Turkey. At the event to be held face-to-face in Istanbul in 2026, local content producers have the chance to present their original projects directly to Netflix Turkey and EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) content teams. Selected projects receive development support and move directly to the scenario stage.

Face to Face Evaluation and Development Support

On the presentation day to be organized in Istanbul, participants will directly explain their projects to the high-level selection committee of the platform. Projects that successfully complete the presentation phase are included in Netflix's professional content development process. At this stage, producers and writers; He collaborates directly with the platform's creative teams on the script, character dynamics and other creative materials. Netflix prepares the productions for the production stage by undertaking the financial and editorial development process of the selected projects.

Who Can Apply for the Next Story Program?

The program, which is planned to continue for three years, targets people who have experience in the industry but have not yet sat down with Netflix. The basic criteria that applicants must meet are listed as follows:

Being over 18 years old,

Having worked as a screenwriter, director or producer in at least one fictional production that has previously met with the public or the audience,

Not having worked with one of these three roles in any Netflix Türkiye original content before.

What Types Are Accepted?

The platform puts genre restrictions in a clear framework within the scope of the application. Candidates can only participate in the process with their original fiction productions. Species to be evaluated:

Young adult.

While the original language of expression of the projects is required to be Turkish, the presentation materials to be included in the application file must be prepared in both Turkish and English.

Netflix's Investments in Türkiye Are Expanding

The broadcasting giant, which has introduced more than 90 domestic productions to global audiences to date, focuses on expanding the ecosystem in the Turkish market. The company has previously organized more than 40 free industry training programs in the fields of scriptwriting, visual effects (VFX) and directing.
