Two trucks collided head-on in Niğde: 2 dead

The accident occurred in the evening near Çiftehan village on the D-750 highway in Ulukışla district. The truck with plate number 42 KJ 736, driven by Hacı Ömer Coşkun, collided with the truck with plate number 31 ACT 306, driven by Cemil Demir, coming from the opposite direction. Upon the notice of the surrounding people, health, gendarmerie and fire brigade teams were dispatched to the scene of the accident. After the accident, the trucks caught fire. Firefighters intervened in the flames and started working to remove the drivers trapped in the vehicles. It was determined that drivers Coşkun and Demir, who were rescued from where they were stuck by firefighters, lost their lives. The trucks that caught fire were extinguished by using pressurized water. After the investigation at the accident scene, the dead bodies of Coşkun and Demir were taken to the morgue. Gendarmerie launched an investigation into the accident.
