TTK workers' vehicle fell into a 100-meter cliff: There are dead and injured

In the traffic accident that occurred in the Ömerli location of the Zonguldak-Ereğli D-100 highway, one person died and two people were injured.

According to the information obtained, the car with plate 67 AFN 616, driven by 24-year-old Taha K., with three Turkish Hard Coal Enterprises (TTK) workers on their way to their workplaces in Kozlu, went out of control at the bend while heading towards Zonguldak. The car was thrown off the road and fell into a cliff of approximately 100 meters.

22 YEAR OLD WORKER LOST HIS LIFE

Upon notification of the accident, health, police and fire brigades were dispatched to the area. In the investigation carried out by the teams, it was determined that 22-year-old Ahmet Erkan, who was a passenger in the car, died.

Driver Taha K., who was seriously injured in the accident, was taken to Karadeniz Ereğli State Hospital after first aid. Following the intervention here, the driver was referred to Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University Hospital and his treatment continues.

The other worker in the car, Beytullah K., survived the accident with minor injuries. Beytullah K., who was learned to have climbed out of the vehicle that fell into the cliff with his own means, was checked by medical teams.

THE FATHER'S CRY WAS HEART-BREAKING

Upon hearing about the accident, Ahmet Erkan's family and colleagues came to the scene. While their relatives were devastated by the sad news, Karadeniz Ereğli District Police Chief Cihan Dalkılıç also came to the region and made inspections.

After the public prosecutor's investigation at the scene, Erkan's body was taken to the hospital morgue for autopsy. Erkan's father shed tears, saying "My son, my son" as his son's lifeless body was placed in the coffin.

While it was learned that the car that fell into the cliff would be removed from its location with the help of a tow truck, an investigation was launched into the accident.
