Die Finanzmärkte haben sich bereits darauf eingestellt, dass die EZB den Leitzins um einen Viertelpunkt auf 2,50 Prozent erhöhen wird. Die US-Inflationsdaten aus den USA gelten als letztes wichtiges Datum, das den Zinsentscheid der Notenbank Federal Reserve (Fed) am kommenden Mittwoch beeinflussen kann.

Schwächster DAX-Titel ist am Morgen die Aktie von Rheinmetall, die ihren Vortagesgewinn wieder abgibt. Der Rüstungstitel notiert damit wieder auf dem tiefsten Stand seit Juli. Gestern hatte ein positiver Analystenkommentar von Goldman Sachs die Aktie gestützt.
