Bus overturns on BR-262 in Ibatiba and leaves three dead and injured

The bus that overturned in the early hours of this Monday (28) on BR-262, in Ibatiba, in Caparaó Espírito Santo, and left, to date, three dead and at least 45 injured. The vehicle was traveling between Minas Gerais and the southern coast of Espírito Santo, according to a document from the National Land Transport Agency (ANTT).

The travel license issued by ANTT on Friday (25) authorized the transport of 47 passengers on a route that departed from Contagem, in the Metropolitan Region of Belo Horizonte, bound for Itaoca, district of Itapemirim, on the southern coast of Espírito Santo. The return to Minas Gerais was scheduled for the early hours of this Monday.

According to the Fire Department, three people died and at least 45 were injured. Two victims were found lifeless outside the vehicle and a third died during care provided by rescue teams. The injured were taken to area hospitals.
