Worker falls from the roof of a factory in Jesi, transported by air ambulance in code red

A 34-year-old worker fell about seven meters from the roof of a factory in Jesi (Ancona) and was transported by air ambulance to the Torrette regional hospital in Ancona, under code red. It happened this morning, shortly after 10, in the TreValli Cooperlat company in via Piandelmedico.

The man, resident in Osimo (Ancona), is an employee of an external company and was carrying out maintenance work on the ventilation system located on the roof of a warehouse.

According to initial information, the fall was caused by the collapse of a skylight.

The 118 health workers intervened on site with the Icaro01 air ambulance, a vehicle from the Jesi Red Cross and the carabinieri. The helicopter landed on land in front of the technical office of the Province of Ancona. When the rescuers arrived, the 34-year-old was alert and conscious and was stabilized before being transferred to Torrette, where he is under a guarded prognosis.

In a note, TreValli Cooperlat confirmed the accident and expressed "total solidarity" with the worker and his family, declaring himself at the complete disposal of the competent authorities, with whom he is collaborating to reconstruct the dynamics. Investigations into the causes of the fall are underway.
