The teacher who was attacked with a gun in the high school garden in Osmaniye lost his life.

Turkish language and literature teacher Mehmet Bilgili, in the garden of Farabi Anatolian High School in Çardak village of Osmaniye Center, met his nephew A.E. with whom they had animosity. He was attacked by Bilgili.

TEACHER COULD NOT BE SAVED

According to the news in AA, 112 Emergency Health and gendarmerie teams were directed to the school upon notice. The teacher, who was seriously injured as a result of gun fire, could not be saved despite intervention in the hospital where he was taken by ambulance.

GOVERNOR SERDENGEÇTİ: IT IS NOT AN ATTACK ON STUDENTS AND EDUCATION

Governor Mehmet Fatih Serdengeçti, who went to the school, received information from the authorities. Serdengeçti told journalists that the attack had nothing to do with education. Stating that there was hostility between the teacher and his nephew, Serdengeçti said:

"The suspect is schizophrenic, and his psychiatric treatment has been ongoing for many years. We have information that our teacher previously raised him and took care of him as a child. However, recently there has been hostility and he is carrying out this heinous attack due to various allegations stemming from schizophrenia. Both our law enforcement forces and the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office will shed light on him. This is not an attack against students and education."

Governor Serdengeçti targeted the teacher, who is the uncle of the attacker, and said, "He is targeting our school garden. Get well soon, our condolences." he said.

Serdengeçti stated that the suspect was caught and the unlicensed gun used in the incident was seized and said, "He has various allegations of hostility towards the teacher, but we know that the attacker has symptoms of schizophrenia." he said.
