Education continues at the school that suffered an armed attack in Turgutlu

Students started classes again at Turgutlu İnci Üzmez Vocational Technical and Anatolian High School, where education was suspended for 3 days after the armed attack in Turgutlu district of Manisa, in which 11 students were injured.

The incident took place around 08:00 on September 22, on the street near the school where the students came. H.O. (15) allegedly opened fire with a hunting rifle. 11 students were injured, 3 of them seriously, in the attack.

Upon notice, health and security teams were dispatched to the region, and the injured students were taken to surrounding hospitals. In the security camera footage, it was determined that the suspect came to the scene on foot with a shotgun and fled after the attack.

As a result of the work of the police teams, the suspect of the attack, H.O. 10 suspects, including his mother, father, grandmother, grandfather and some of his relatives, as well as the manager of the hunting dealer selling the cartridges, were detained.

Among the suspects who were referred to the courthouse after their procedures, H.O., his mother, father, grandfather, cousin, the owner of the hunting dealer who allegedly bought the cartridges, and a friend were arrested.

Three suspects were released on condition of judicial control.

Students at Turgutlu İnci Üzmez Vocational Technical and Anatolian High School, where education was suspended for 3 days after the incident, started classes again today.

The investigation into the incident continues.
