Quaest survey shows Lula with 59% and Flávio Bolsonaro with 22% in the 1st round in Maranhão

Quaest survey released this Friday (25) shows how the dispute for the Presidency of the Republic is going in the 1st round among voters in Maranhão. The survey was commissioned by TV Mirante.

See below the results of the stimulated survey, in which Quaest shows the list of candidates to the voters interviewed.

1st round

Lula (PT): 59% (it was 58% on August 24)

Flávio Bolsonaro (PL): 22% (was 20%)

Writer Augusto Cury (AVANTE): 5% (was 1%)

Renan Santos (MISSION): 3% (was 2%)

Ronaldo Caiado (PSD): 1% (was 2%)

Zema (NEW): 1% (was 0%)

Samara (UP): 0% (was 0%)

Leonardo Avalanche (PRTB): 0% (was not in the previous survey*)

Veterinarian Wilson Grassi (DEMOCRAT): 0% (was 1%)

Clariana Barão (DC): 0% (was 0%)

Edmilson Costa (PCB): 0% (was 0%)

Hertz Dias (PSTU): 0% (was 0%)

Rui Costa Pimenta (PCO): 0% (was 0%)

Blank/null/will not vote: 4% (was 5%)

Undecided: 5% (was 11%)

*Leonardo Avalanche returned to be the PRTB candidate after the Electoral Court barred Pablo Marçal, who is ineligible.

For 86% of voters interviewed in the survey, the choice of candidate is definitive. Another 14% say they can still change their vote until the elections on October 4th.

Quaest interviewed 900 people aged 16 and over between the 21st and 24th of September. The margin of error is 3 percentage points, plus or minus, and the confidence level is 95%. The survey was registered with the TSE under numbers MA-07074/2026 and BR-04892/2026.
