Saturday's match will be a repeat of the final of the Olympic Games in Paris, where the White and Reds had to accept the superiority of the hosts, losing 0:3. Earlier, during the Games in Tokyo, the French also turned out to be better, and after eliminating the Poles, they won the gold medal.

Historic clash in the final

This is only the second time in history that Poland and France will meet in the final of the European Championship. The previous such clash took place in 2009 in Izmir - then the Poles triumphed, winning 3:1 and winning the first gold medal in the history of this event.

The Reds and Whites won the European Championship for the second time three years ago in Rome, defeating the Italians 3-0 in the final.

The medal is already there, but the appetite is growing

The Poles have already secured their 12th European Championship medal, and their 10th since coach Nikola Grbic leads the team. Since he took over, the Polish national team has not left the podium in the most important international tournaments.

After the semi-final, quarterback Marcin Komenda did not hide the team's ambitions.

We already have a medal, but we want more. We are aiming for gold, he said.

The final match between Poland and France is scheduled to start at 9:00 p.m. Earlier, at 5 p.m., Finland will play against Slovenia in the bronze medal match.

The stakes in Saturday's final are unique - the winner will not only win the European champion title, but will also take part in the Olympic Games in Los Angeles.
