Police arrest two suspects in separate operations in Jundiaí and Várzea Paulista

According to information from the Military Police, military police officers from the Tactical Force of the 49th Interior Military Police Battalion (49th BPM/I) carried out the arrest after locating an open warrant against the suspect for the crime of threat. He was presented and remained detained at the disposal of the Várzea Paulista Police Station.

During preventive patrolling along Rua Mato Grosso do Sul, the police noticed the man, who, upon noticing the presence of the team, tried to hide inside a bar. He was caught and detained for investigation.

According to the Military Police, the suspect has an extensive criminal record: there are 13 convictions for the crime of drug trafficking and a further seven convictions for association with drug trafficking and for non-compliance with the Maria da Penha Law, in addition to other crimes, including homicide. According to the corporation, he is a faction member and holds a leadership position within the criminal faction.

Also this Saturday (26), military police officers from the 49th BPM/I arrested another man wanted by the courts on Rua Visconde de Taunay, in the Vila Arens neighborhood, in Jundiaí. The team was called after receiving information from city monitoring that a man in a suspicious attitude was traveling around the region on a motorcycle and quickly moved to the location, where they managed to approach him.

During the approach, a search found that the suspect had an open arrest warrant, issued by the District of São Carlos, for non-compliance with a protective measure under the Maria da Penha Law. He was taken to the Jundiaí Police Station, where he remained detained.
