Police are searching for 21-year-old after shooting at teenagers in Duisburg

The police are looking for a 21-year-old who is said to have shot a teenager with a blank gun in Duisburg and seriously injured his eye.

On the premises of a supermarket in the Obermarxloh district, he is said to have suddenly shot the 16-year-old in the face on Saturday evening, the police and public prosecutor's office said.

Witnesses called the police and the teenager was taken to a special clinic. It is feared that he will lose the sight in the right eye that was hit.

The public prosecutor's office is investigating serious bodily harm. The suspect's apartment was searched and a judge issued an arrest warrant. Since the 21-year-old is still on the run, he is also being searched for with a photo. Anyone who sees the man should not speak to him but rather call 911. The suspected murder weapon has not yet been found.
