Hurricane Polo Reaches Category 5 Level

In its statement regarding Hurricane Polo, which was effective in the Pacific Ocean off the coast of Mexico, the US National Hurricane Center reported that the intensity of the hurricane reached "Category 5", which is the highest level.

Weather forecasts state that heavy rains will be seen in the coastal regions of Guerrero and Michoacan states in southwestern Mexico until Thursday, and that there is a risk of floods and landslides in the region.

It was noted that the hurricane was not expected to make landfall.
