Doorman stabbed by homeless man in hotel in Niterói

A doorman was stabbed during a fight with a homeless man inside a hotel in the center of Niterói, in the Metropolitan Region of Rio. The attack took place on Tuesday (8), at the place where the victim works.

Security camera footage recorded the moment of the attack. In the scenes, João Carlos tries to close the door of the establishment, but the attacker manages to enter the hotel. The doorman is cornered and attacked with several knife blows. After the crime, the suspect fled.

Firefighters were called and rescued the victim, who was taken to the hospital. According to the Civil Police, the victim and attacker argued before the attack. The reason for the fight is still being investigated.

Agents from the 76th DP (Center of Niterói) went to the police station and confirmed that the man who appeared in the security images was the perpetrator of the attack. He was subsequently arrested.
