Government meeting regarding the 2027 budget and changes in PIT

Today, the government meeting started not at 12:00 as usual, but earlier, due to the fact that the Council of Ministers is to deal with the draft budget act for 2027. According to the constitution, the government must adopt the final draft budget and send it to the Sejm before the end of September.

The acts accompanying the budget include a project that several million people have been waiting for. I'm talking about the announced change in the PIT tax scale, according to which there will be three tax thresholds. Of course, if the entire process ends with the president's signature (...) - said Prime Minister Donald Tusk.

I do not want to abuse the president's decisions every day, although there are reasons, but I cannot help but notice that, as in the case of CPN - i.e. Fuel Prices Lower, where the stubbornness of the Presidential Palace will cost Poles another week of high prices at gas stations - I also hear signals that not everyone there likes the idea of ​​people paying lower taxes - added the head of government.

I would really like the president's decisions to serve the people. They don't have to go to the government. I have no illusions about the government here, but people can't pay for this. Maybe I'm naive, but we'll all see it soon, he said.
