Teacher is killed with a knife to the neck in Varginha

The crime took place on October 6, 2024, on Rua Allan Kardec, in the Bom Pastor neighborhood, in Varginha. Marcelo Alexandre Alves died after being hit in the neck with a knife.

According to information from the investigation, the teacher had gone to the location to look for his daughter and stepson when the crime occurred. Family members reported that there was confusion between Marcelo and the suspect on the day of the events.

The Civil Police confirmed, at the time, that Cledyson Silva, aged 34, was arrested preventively. According to the corporation, he attended the Varginha Civil Police Station to give a statement, at which time the preventive arrest warrant was served.

The professor's former partner was also arrested on the day of the crime on suspicion of involvement in the case.
