Project selects architects to rebuild homes for almost 200 families affected by the rains

Registration is open to accredit architects and urban planners in the Reconstruindo Lares project, in Juiz de Fora.

The initiative will help 192 families affected by the rains. The action takes place in partnership between City Hall, CAU/MG and MPMG.

The MPMG allocated R$9.6 million to pay for the recovery of housing in Zona da Mata.

The benefiting families will be selected according to Civil Defense records and the technical feasibility of the properties.

Registration is now open for the accreditation of architecture and urban planning professionals to work on the Reconstruindo Lares project, in Juiz de Fora. The initiative envisages serving 192 families, with renovations to housing units and interventions on lots that were hit by February rains in the city.

Self-employed professionals, individual entrepreneurs and companies with just one partner can participate. Those accredited will be responsible for preparing architectural projects for home improvements and issuing reports on the completion of the works.

Interested parties can register through the CAU/MG Public Call Portal, where the notice with the selection rules is also available.

The selection is an initiative of the City of Juiz de Fora (PJF) in partnership with the Council of Architecture and Urbanism of Minas Gerais (CAU/MG) and the Public Ministry of Minas Gerais (MPMG). The Reconstruindo Lares project has resources of around R$9.6 million allocated by MPMG for the recovery of homes affected by the rains in Zona da Mata.

How will the selection be

Qualified professionals will be classified according to the score obtained in the professional qualification criteria.

Among the criteria set out in the notice is previous performance in the Public Interest Technical Assistance Project (ATIP) in Juiz de Fora or Ubá.

Points are also awarded to those who demonstrate experience in urban planning, social mobilization, technical assistance for social housing (ATHIS) and/or territorial diagnosis in Juiz de Fora.

The classification will be made for each qualification, considering the documentation and the score presented by interested parties.

CAU/MG is responsible for preparing and conducting the accreditation notice and for selecting professionals. The technical supervision of the projects will be the responsibility of the Municipal Housing and Productive Inclusion Company (Emcasa).

The execution of Reconstruindo Lares will be the responsibility of PJF. The project also provides for social monitoring of families, preparation of budgets, acquisition of materials, contracting and execution of works.

Who will be served

The beneficiary families will be selected based on Civil Defense records and the technical possibility of recovering the properties. Socioeconomic criteria will also be considered, such as registration in the Single Registry (CadÚnico).
