The prosecutor's office is examining the video of the theft of the wreath. Antoni Macierewicz among the suspects

The incident took place on July 10 at ul. Wiejska 16 in Warsaw. Three men are visible on the surveillance. Two of them approach a bicycle cart standing on the street and one opens its door, while the other bends its side wall, taking out the wreath inside. The third man stands on the pavement, between the hedge and the car, observing his surroundings. After taking the wreath, the three of them head towards the parked cars.

"Based on the recording in question, it was established that one of these men could have been Member of Parliament Antoni Macierewicz (he opens the door, the other one bends the side wall of the stroller and takes out the wreath)," the prosecutor's office said.

The case was classified as burglary under Art. 279 § 1 of the Penal Code - the trolley was secured with rubber fastenings to the door to its housing. According to the prosecutor's office, the wreath was worth approximately PLN 800. The penalty for burglary is from one to 10 years in prison.

Siemoniak: Shame

Tomasz Siemoniak, minister coordinator of special services, was asked about the case on TVN24.

If someone looks like Antoni Macierewicz, he is Antoni Macierewicz - said the politician in the "One on One" program.

Siemoniak pointed to the silhouette of the man visible in the recording and his walking style. This is a complete collapse, said the minister, referring to the case. In his opinion, people who entrusted Macierewicz with public functions should be ashamed.

Another procedure regarding Macierewicz

Other proceedings are also being conducted against Antoni Macierewicz. The District Prosecutor's Office in Warsaw announced in September that it had initiated an investigation into the suspected use of illegal threats and abuse of powers by the MP. This concerns the incident of September 13, when Macierewicz tried to enter the premises of the Academy of Justice.

In July, the Regional Prosecutor's Office in Warsaw filed an indictment against a PiS politician for publicly insulting the management of the Military Counterintelligence Service and slandering officers.

In a separate case, the National Prosecutor's Office submitted an indictment to the court regarding the disclosure by Macierewicz of classified information related to the activities of the Smolensk subcommittee.
