Night attack from Russia on Ukraine: 2 dead, 8 injured in Kiev

Russia launched attacks on many points in Ukraine at night. In the attacks carried out with ballistic missiles and UAVs in Kiev, the capital of Ukraine, 2 people lost their lives and 8 people were injured.

Police announced that many explosions were heard throughout the city, and apart from the maternity hospital, nine houses, a post office, warehouses and dozens of vehicles were damaged in three districts.

In his statement regarding the attacks, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenski said, "While people were sleeping, the lights rising from the explosions illuminated the sky. Once again, the main targets of their attacks were Kiev and civilian infrastructure, residential buildings, a maternity hospital, energy infrastructure and logistics. Now the United States has the opportunity to respond strongly. We need ballistic missile interceptors to protect life." The Ukrainian President said there were three waves of ballistic missiles and about 60 percent of them were shot down over Kiev.

The Ukrainian Air Force announced that an unspecified number of hypersonic and ballistic missiles, as well as 282 unmanned aerial vehicles and other weapons, were used in the attack carried out overnight.
