Massive failure at Salesforce in the US, occurring globally, affecting PayPay etc. in Japan as well

A large-scale outage has been occurring globally since around the evening of September 16, Japan time, in core services such as CRM provided by Salesforce. According to the company's status page, the outage occurred in more than 1,000 instances of its core service Salesforce Services starting around 4:50 p.m. As of 7:50 p.m., three hours later, the problem is still ongoing, but efforts are underway to restore the situation.

Many companies in Japan have also been affected, with some saying things like, ``I can't believe it's going down after the evening,'' and ``I've given up on my business.'' On the same day, PayPay, one of the companies implementing the service, announced that due to a ``Salesforce system failure,'' from around 5:15 p.m., ``various inquiry forms may not be available.''

According to Salesforce's status page, the load on some of its core systems has increased, reducing its ability to process requests. By 7:56 p.m., the fix had been successfully tested and began rolling out to all affected environments.
