The Palace reacted to Bülent Arınç's words about Melih Gökçek

The Palace was also involved in the discussion between former Speaker of the Turkish Grand National Assembly Bülent Arınç and former Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Melih Gökçek.

Oktay Saral, Chief Advisor of AKP President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, reacted to Arınç for his statements towards Gökçek.

Speaking at the wedding ceremony of Mehmet Davutoğlu, the son of former Prime Minister and Future Party Chairman Ahmet Davutoğlu, held in Istanbul, Bülent Arınç criticized with harsh words the fact that Melih Gökçek went to testify within the scope of the investigation initiated against him by chewing gum.

Turning a wedding ceremony into a political platform is neither polite nor statesmanlike.

Moreover, his use of extremely belittling expressions against a public prosecutor clearly reveals the pathetic situation he is in.

The answer to the statement "We will see good days, children", "I believe we are seeing good days", revealed the necessary measure.
