IMM President Ekrem İmamoğlu, who has been detained for 1.5 years, was sentenced to 'political ban' and 2 years and 1 month in prison in the case where he was tried for his remarks against former Tuzla Mayor Şadi Yazıcı.

Arrested presidential candidate and elected IMM President Ekrem İmamoğlu shared the details of the Tuzla case in which he was tried in his post on the 'Presidential Candidate Office' account.

İmamoğlu wrote:

"Now please put yourself in my shoes. There is a case in which you were acquitted. You are being brought before the judge again in this case, through judicial and political games.

Moreover, the judge will only take statements. Because the case was annulled because no statement was taken. So it is a matter of procedure, not substance.

Meanwhile, the judge who acquitted is immediately replaced. The newly appointed judge ignores the acquittal decision and imposes a prison sentence of more than 2 years, so that he can also be banned from politics.

This is the summary of the Tuzla case and it is a complete scandal.

This is never a coincidence. Judges were changed in all my cases. There is no longer any doubt that the intervened courts made decisions on behalf of politics and a person, not "on behalf of the Turkish Nation".
